I don’t understand why it is generally acceptable to look down on someone who doesn’t believe in a god.
Where I’m from, if you don’t believe in a god, your parents, relatives and friends will think that you’re leading yourself down a bad path. When actually, that is not the case. Believing in a god is not going to give you a surefire successful future. Believing in a god is not going to be the right thing for everyone. These people need to accept the fact that their religion is not the only religion out there. And it is definitely not the best one. This god may or may not exist and you can argue with me all you want about what it says in the bible or with unexplained phenomenons that have happened in the past, but unless god decides to ring my doorbell one day, I will never be convinced. If I’m not trying to shove my beliefs (or lack thereof) down your throats, I expect the same in return. Thanks.
